READY TO IMPACT

The Ready to Impact Project provides a rapid pace strategy and bold mentality on various issues at disadvantaged youth experience by implementing results-driven services. The program started as an idea by Rhonda Hicks and Robert Love directed and executed the program in the early 2000s at Wichita Southeast High School.

IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM

A variety of issues play a role as to why students are not on track to graduate high school on time such as socio-economics, race, ethnicity, early childhood learning, learning styles, etc. Without a proven success strategy, students will stop attending school altogether.

FINDING THE SOLUTION

The solution to this problem, through the Ready To Impact program, is to help students recover their missing credits to put them on track to complete their graduation. Members of the program work closely with the students to develop a plan for them to recover their credits and provide motivation and support to those students. Members of the program go the extra mile by making phone calls to parents, visiting the homes of the students, and other means of being able to support and developing productivity for these students.
